NSA data center drains Baltimore grid

Heat waves and record electricity in the US is stressing power grids everywhere. Baltimore apparently has a specific issue, however, as the supercomputers at the NSA require massive amounts of power as they gather and sift through terabytes of electronic data.

Here's the rub: The National Security Agency (NSA) is running out of power for its data center.

According to a recent report, the high-tech spying operation has been forced to stall the implementation of two new supercomputers because it doesn’t have the juice to turn them on.
